With the Jaguars coming off a tough-divisional game with the Colts, ending in a 23 -17 loss, they come home to TIAA Bank Stadium to face the 49ers. The 49ers are coming off a big win against their divisional opponent, Rams, 31 -10. In that game, we saw the same usual antics from one Jalen Ramsey, as Deebo Samuel had a day.
So what does this mean for the Jaguars and their young Secondary?
Shaquill Griffin will follow Samuel where ever he is lined up. Tre Herndon is out again this week, leaving Tyson Campbell and Chris Claybrooks covering opposite Griffin. If this young secondary can hold up, that will give the front-line time to pressure on the QB. This Defense has been bringing pressure on QB in the last 2 weeks, causing disruption. If this trend can continue looking for a low-scoring game that Jaguars have a chance to be in.
The Offense, on the other hand, has a multitude of issues, mainly the dropped passes by the WRs. The Jaguars have activated John Brown #13 to the roster, and he will be playing today. If Brown and Marvin Jones can get separation and control the ball when it comes their way, today, could be a breakout day for Trevor. Look for Laviska Shenault to be in the Slot — where he shines. The Jaguars will have their Stud RB, James Robinson, today. Robinson was limited in the week with a lingering heel issue and a knee issue.
Will the Jaguars be able to put pressure on Garappolo and Co.? Will Trevor have his coming out “Game”? For the answers to this and more, stay tuned to NSPN for Pre-Game, Half Time and Post-Game coverage. Follow @J_Lere and @NSPN_Sports on Twitter for live updates during the game.
