On Thursday night, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Dallas Cowboys 31-29 to begin the defense of their Super Bowl title in the very stadium they won it back in February.
Bucs Defense didn’t look very solid during the home opener allowing Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott to throw for 403 yards and 3 touchdowns while completing 43 of his 58 pass attempts. Prescott wasn’t all perfect against the Bucs D as he did manage to throw an interception in the third quarter in which Carlton Davis III was able to capitalize on it.

Davis, who played exceptionally well in Thursday’s game, not only managed the lone turnover for the Bucs defense but also managed to pick up three pass deflections as well. After an apparent injury to fellow corner Sean Murphy-Bunting early in the game, Davis managed to help the Bucs keep their 21-19 lead at the time of his interception.
Aside from his pass interference call late in the game, Davis certainly showed Thursday night that he is indeed on the path to becoming an elite corner in the league. As for those receivers that will be lining up across from the third-year pro out of Auburn, “WELCOME TO CD3 ISLAND”
