The Rams are not messing around with their race to the Super Bowl this season. The Rams have a chance to do something that only the Buccaneers have done and that’s play in a Super Bowl in their home stadium.
The team has pulled off a blockbuster trade the day before the trade deadline. The Rams have traded the Denver Broncos a 2022 second-round and a third-round draft pick for veteran pass-rushing expert Von Miller. The veteran pass rusher is a Super Bowl MVP, 8-time Pro Bowler, 2011 Defensive Rookie of the year, 3-time All-Pro, 4-time Second-team All-Pro, 2012 Butkus Award winner, unanimously voted to the NFL 2010’s All-Decade Team, and is a member of the NFL’s 100 sacks club, having 110 sacks so far in his 10-year career.
The addition of Von Miller to an already stout pass-rushing defense provides the team with an extra defensive boost, furthering the possibility of a winning season and a Super Bowl at home. The defensive pairing of Aaron Donald and Von Miller makes the Rams’ defense even more of a nightmare for opposing offenses. It almost seems unfair.
