The league has announced that it will add a game to the Super Wild Card Weekend, which will showcase the weekend event’s conclusion on Monday night.
The league previously added a third wild card team in each conference last season, which was the first major change to the playoffs in 30 years. Adding the new Monday spot will result in Saturday showcasing just two games, one at 4:35 p.m. ET and one at 8:15 p.m. E T, instead of three games like last season. Sunday’s schedule will start at 1:05 p.m. ET, with games following at 4:40 p.m. ET and 8:15 p.m. ET. Monday’s night game kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET.
Television networks CBS and NBC will air two Super Wild Card Weekend games apiece, and ESPN/ABC and FOX networks will each have one. Who gets the Monday Night game? That decision has not been made as of now.
