The newest rumor appearing is that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of many teams in contact with veteran cornerback Richard Sherman. The five-time pro bowl cornerback is under investigation by the NFL for an arrest in July for suspected burglary and domestic violence. Sherman allegedly attempted to force entry into a family member’s home, in which police were dispatched. Upon police taking Sherman into custody, allegedly he resisted, resulting in a K9 being released to intervene. Sherman suffered a leg laceration as a result of the K9.
Among other interested parties; inquiring of Sherman’s services, are two of his former teams, who seek a reunion with the veteran corner. We can confirm through our insiders at One Buc that the Buccaneers were inquiring, but no longer interested. One does have to wonder if it is even a good idea to go after the aging corner who suffered a season-ending calf injury last season.
