During the NFL Kickoff Game, the Buccaneers defeated the Dallas Cowboys 31-29 in a very sloppy game. The Buccaneers had four turnovers overall, including a fumble by RB Ronald Jones II midway through the second quarter. Jones II up to that point had three carries for 13 yards.
Below is what Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians had to say about Jones II not returning to the game after the fumble and if he has more confidence in Leonard Fournette.
“No. ‘Ro’ was running really, really well until the fumble, and then he struggled mentally to get over it. That was too big of a game and go out there and not be focused, so ‘Lenny’ got the rest of the way.”
